In March of this year, the Vockenrod Wind Farm, located in the municipality of Antrifttal, commenced operations. Now, a wind farm festival will be held at the site of the three turbines to mark the occasion. The wind farm has a nominal capacity of 17.1 megawatts (MW). At the same time, construction work will begin on two additional turbines, which will expand the wind farm by 11.4 MW. Commissioning is scheduled for spring 2026.

At the end of June, VSB and NeXtWind hosted a joint ownership event to inform the owners about the collaboration of the two project developers on the Zörbig repowering project. The future pooling of joint resources and the extensive expertise of both companies – not to mention the strong support from local politics – will ensure efficient project implementation with high quality standards.

In early July, the VSB Group commenced construction on two wind turbines in Flintbek, located in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district. The foundations are expected to be completed by the end of the year. The wind farm, with a total capacity of 11.4 megawatts (MW), is set to be operational in autumn 2025. This project marks VSB Group's first construction endeavor in Schleswig-Holstein.

In the bag: another flagship project for Europe’s energy transition is being realised under the umbrella of VSB Group. VSB Finland’s Puutionsaari project in the North Ostrobothnia region has obtained a legally binding local master plan and the project can now move towards implementation. Apart from major construction projects in Germany, Poland, France and Finland, the VSB Group also has a project in Italy in its final stages: the pan-European developer, manager and operator of wind energy and photovoltaic parks is close to starting construction of its first PV project on the largest island in the Mediterranean. The Ramacca ground-mounted photovoltaic plant, with an installed capacity of 60 MWp, will be built in the Catania metropolitan area in Sicily.
