“Transparency is a prerequisite for acceptance!” – Statistics expert Jürgen Quentin visits VSB

High-level visit to VSB, the international project developer for wind and photovoltaics: Jürgen Quentin, a consultant on the energy industry and the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) at the Fachagentur Wind- und Solarenergie (“German wind and solar energy agency”) and Germany’s leading expert on wind energy data, spent several days visiting various departments. The focus was on providing an insight into the work of a project planner, sharing expertise – for example during a joint panel discussion – and intensifying collaboration.

Quarterly analyses and annual reports on the expansion of wind energy in Germany, status reports on the use of wind energy in forests, and evaluations of the duration of approval procedures: if you want to work with valid data and meaningful statistics in the wind energy sector, the work of Jürgen Quentin is indispensable. His analysis and reports are invaluable, as sound and understandable data is essential to build the public acceptance needed for the expansion of renewable energy.

“I was particularly struck by how open and trusting the staff made me feel. The visit to VSB helps immensely to better understand the practical needs of project planners and to provide appropriate answers on a scientific and analytical basis,” says Jürgen Quentin. “My personal highlights were visiting the Elster Repowering wind farm and the many exciting discussions with the VSB team,” he continues.
