WSB supports Dresden Children's Home Kinderhaus RABE with donations and helps with rebuilding work next spring.

Dresden, 16 December 2014 – Everyone is waiting for Christmas at Kinderhaus RABE. Today the Dresden based WSB Group handed over ten boxes of toys, books and clothes to the children’s home, a care centre belonging to Diakonie Dresden (a charitable organisation of the Protestant church). This has been achieved through a collection campaign amongst the employees of WSB. With a donation of 1,000 Euros, WSB also aids the conversion of a common room. The project was selected in cooperation with the Foundation Zukunft schützen.

In only a few days time there will once again be presents under the Christmas tree. However, this year Kinderhaus RABE in the Dresden district of Radeberger Vorstadt will have a lot more to give. WSB has called upon their employees to make donations for the home’s children and young people. Throughout the four week campaign they have put together many well-stocked toy boxes, which will now be distributed amongst the children.

In addition to this straightforward support for everyday life, WSB has made a donation of 1,000 Euros. This sum will be used for the conversion of an office and community space which will later be used to care for toddlers and kindergarten children. The aim is to create more space to play. In addition, a WSB member of staff along with tradesmen will carry out the construction work in the spring of 2015. Handing over the donation Marko Lieske, Managing Director of WSB Neue Energien Holding GmbH said: "It is very important for us to support the boys and girls along their path of development. The Kinderhaus RABE continues to do an exceptional job of bridging the gap in difficult family situations and in raising children’s confidence."

The foundation ‘Zukunft schützen - Neue Energie für die Jugend’ (‘Preserve the Future - new energy for the Youth’) supported WSB in selecting this project. Founded in 2006, the charitable foundation primarily supports projects, initiatives and associations which help children and young people understand renewable energy and saving energy.
