VSB Uusiutuva Energia Suomi Oy, the Finish subsidiary of Germany-based VSB Group, has received permission to build its 170 MW Karahka wind farm near the town of Oulainen (Northern Ostrobothnia region). The project is scheduled to go online at the end of 2024.

Successful end of the year 2021 and strong way ahead into 2022 for VSB Poland: In the Polish energy regulator’s auction for renewable energies in December 2021, the project developer secured the largest awarded volume of this bidding round with 164.8 MW.

VSB Group, the specialist for renewable energies in Poland and Europe has signed a project financing agreement with PKO Bank Polski S.A. supported by Dentons Europe Dąbrowski i Wspólnicy sp. k. for the onshore wind farm Baranów - Rychtal with 42.6 MW capacity.

In the Wielkopolska voivodeship, VSB Energie Odnawialne Polska sp. z o.o. has begun preparations for the construction of the Baranów-Rychtal wind farm. A total of 11 Nordex wind turbines with a combined output of 42.6 megawatts will be installed. The turbines are scheduled to go online in 2023.

Project developer and operator VSB is focusing on further regionalisation as renewable energies go from strength to strength in Italy. It has opened a new office in the capital Rome for this purpose. Wind energy and photovoltaic projects in central Italy will be handled from here in the future. This includes both securing land and approval planning all the way to construction.
