Donation to Kinderhaus Rabe

Successful collection: WSB employees support Kinderhaus Rabe, a home for children run by Dresden Diakonie, the local social welfare work.

Together with the <link http: www.zukunft-schuetzen.de english _blank an external>Zukunft Schützen (Protect the Future) Foundation, WSB employees ran a flea market stand in September 2015 in Dresden. Its goal was to sell as many second-hand items as possible, with the proceeds going to <link http: www.diakonie-dresden.de einrichtungen erziehungshilfe kinderhaus-rabe.html _blank an external>Kinderhaus Rabe. They sold the books, toys, children’s clothes and much more to the highest bidders with great verve and impressive haggling skills. The stand was open for business at two flea markets: one internal market by employees for employees and the traditional weekly outdoor city flea market on the banks of the River Elbe in Dresden. They earned a total of € 500.00 for the Children’s Home. These funds will now be used to build a new playground for toddlers in the facility’s garden.

This was the second time WSB has helped the home with an employee event: “We appreciate the personal contact with the institution, and the fact that the donation is earmarked for a specific measure. That is why we are so happy to help out,” commented Marko Lieske, Managing Director of WSB Neue Energien Holding GmbH.
