VSB Group expands management: Jean-Marc Bazenet joins as Chief International Officer

Jean-Marc Bazenet will be appointed as managing director for international markets from 1 October 2021

VSB is expanding its management: Jean-Marc Bazenet will be appointed Chief International Officer from 1 October 2021. Jean-Marc Bazenet brings with him 20 years of experience in the German-French energy sector and will in future tap and expand new markets for wind and photovoltaics.

The VSB Group has been a successful market player for 25 years in the development, planning and operational management of wind farms and photovoltaic plants. The company has a particularly strong presence in Germany, France and Poland, and now also in Finland and Italy. In parallel, the group of companies is growing steadily and with it the importance of international markets, innovative business models and technologies.

“Jean-Marc Bazenet perfectly complements the VSB Group’s senior management with his many years of industry experience, a strong sense of entrepreneurship, and extensive market development expertise,” said Frédéric Lanoë, CEO of the VSB Group.

Jean-Marc Bazenet joins the Executive Committee with Frédéric Lanoë (Chief Executive Officer) and Marko Lieske (Chief Financial Officer).

About Jean-Marc Bazenet
The 42-year-old manager with German-French roots boasts around 20 years of experience in the energy industry. Jean-Marc Bazenet comes from the French EDF Group, where he held various management positions. As Managing Director of EDF Deutschland GmbH, he successfully built up the group’s operations in Germany. Most recently, as CEO, he was responsible for the activities of the EDF Renewables Group in Germany, which specialises in the areas of planning, construction, repowering, operation and maintenance as well as asset management of wind farms. Jean-Marc Bazenet is also a member of the board of the German Energy Storage System Association and the Franco-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He studied at the economics and business administration university Paris Dauphine and at the University of Münster in Germany.
