Renewable energy and battery storage project developer VSB has officially commissioned the Flintbek wind farm in Germany in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district. Construction of the two wind turbines, with a combined capacity of 11.4 megawatts (MW), began in summer 2024.
Now generating clean energy for approximately 12,000 households, the Flintbek Wind Farm consists of two Nordex N149 turbines. This marks VSB Group’s first operational wind energy project in the state of Schleswig-Holstein.
"Schleswig-Holstein remains one of the top three German federal states for wind energy expansion in 2025. We’re proud to be part of this progress with the commissioning of the Flintbek Wind Farm and to actively contribute to the energy transition in Northern Germany," says Thomas Winkler, Managing Director of VSB Germany.
"Germany is one of the most dynamic growth markets for renewable energy in Europe. The Flintbek Wind Farm represents another key milestone in the VSB Group's overall growth strategy and our mission to create a sustainable and climate-friendly energy supply," adds Dr. Felix Grolman, CEO of the VSB Group.
