The construction of the Löberitz repowering wind farm has officially begun with a symbolic ground-breaking ceremony. Together with Prof. Dr Armin Willingmann, Minister for Science, Energy, Climate Protection and the Environment of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, Thomas Winkler, Managing Director of VSB Germany, Stefan Hermann, Head of the Office for Urban Development and Structural Change of the city of Bitterfeld-Wolfen, and Matthias Egert, Mayor of the town of Zörbig, VSB marked the start of the construction phase.
At the Löberitz site, five existing wind turbines dating from 2003 will be replaced by three modern turbines. The dismantling of the existing turbines is expected to begin in spring 2026.
We are delighted that the project is now visibly entering its next phase and will continue to keep you updated on the next steps at the construction site in this construction diary.
