Green light for the Löberitz hybrid park
/ Homberg / 03.07.2025
The Löberitz hybrid park is taking the next major step: both the ground-mounted photovoltaic installation and the repowering wind farm have received their official permits.
The photovoltaic installation will be built on an area of around 15 hectares along the A9 near Zschepkau and will generate 19,99 megawatt peak (MWp) of clean electricity in the future. It will be complemented by three modern wind turbines of the type Vestas V172-7.2, which will replace five older turbines. This will increase the capacity of the wind farm to 21.6 megawatts – around five times the previous output.
The Löberitz hybrid park combines wind and solar power at a shared grid connection point, making an important contribution to an autonomous, secure and climate-friendly energy supply.
With the approvals now in place, an important milestone has been reached. The next project steps will follow in the coming months:
- Participation in the EEG tender in July
- European hamster survey in August
- Archaeological documentation in September
- Start of access road construction in November
We will continue to keep you informed.
