[PR] VSB France and the Campus des Metiers et Qualifications d’Excellence Habitat Join Forces to Develop the Skills of Tomorrow
/ Nîmes / 25.06.2026
VSB France and the Campus des Métiers et Qualifications d’Excellence Habitat, Renewable Energy and Eco-Construction (CMQE HEREC) have officially entered into a partnership as part of the PIA 3 – CMQE HEREC Educational Innovation Territory initiative. By joining the Campus as an Associate Member, VSB France reaffirms its commitment to supporting the development of the skills required to accelerate the energy transition. This partnership aims to foster the emergence of the expertise needed to drive the growth of renewable energy while preparing the next generation of professionals who will shape tomorrow's energy mix.
Climate change and the energy transition require innovation not only in renewable energy generation, but also in construction and housing to create more resilient and sustainable buildings. Education and training must evolve to meet these emerging needs and help address the growing demand for skilled professionals. For the past ten years, the Campus des Métiers et Qualifications d’Excellence Habitat, Renewable Energy and Eco-Construction (CMQE HEREC) has been developing education and training programmes at every qualification level and for learners of all backgrounds, preparing the workforce for the industries of the future.
With 25 years of experience and a strong nationwide presence, VSB France has built extensive expertise across the entire renewable energy value chain—from project development and construction to long-term operation—focusing on two key renewable technologies: onshore wind and solar photovoltaic energy. Since its inception, VSB France has also been committed to providing its employees with a welcoming, motivating and growth-oriented working environment. Recognised as an employer of choice, the company has been certified as a Great Place to Work® for several consecutive years.
The CMQE HEREC project, led by Lycée Dhuoda in Nîmes—located just a few hundred metres from VSB France's headquarters—was selected under the Programme d'Investissements d'Avenir (PIA 3) – "Territories of Innovation" initiative, which aims to enhance and expand the Campus's education and training offering. The project strengthens learners' skills by developing new training modules and investing in innovative learning platforms dedicated to sustainable construction and renewable energy technologies.
VSB France's commitment is reflected through both financial support and a wide range of initiatives implemented throughout the year. In March, VSB France teams, alongside France Travail, took part in a careers event at the Campus to showcase the company's diverse professions and career opportunities. More recently, on 22 June, VSB France welcomed high school students to its headquarters, giving them the opportunity to discover the company, its expertise and the wide range of career paths available in the renewable energy sector.
“I really enjoyed the positive atmosphere between the teams and the working environment. Learning about the different career paths showed me that there are many ways to build a career in renewable energy. I was also impressed by the offices. Seeing how responsibilities are shared, how teams work together, and how project plans are developed gave me a much better understanding of the different roles in the sector.” Eva, 16
“This visit helped me understand how a company operates and the role each person plays. I learned how renewable energy projects are developed and discovered the wide range of professionals involved in bringing them to life. This experience has strengthened my ambition to pursue a career in IT and cybersecurity.” Mathéo, 15
"At VSB France, we place great importance on employee well-being, skills development and continuous learning," said Jordane Nogarede, Human Resources Director at VSB France. "At the same time, we are committed every day to advancing the energy transition. Joining the CMQE HEREC was therefore a natural step for us, enabling us to further strengthen education and training, share our expertise, and contribute to the region's ambition of becoming Europe's first positive energy region."
"The CMQE HEREC serves as a vital bridge between education providers, research institutions and industry," said Valérie Poplin, Executive Director of the CMQE HEREC. "By joining this collaborative initiative, VSB France will help strengthen the skills needed by the renewable energy sector, enhance the attractiveness of careers in the industry, and foster knowledge sharing to sustainably support both the sector's workforce needs and the region's long-term ambitions."
