[PR] VSB France wins tender for operation management of two wind farms of the French energy supplier CNR

 / Nîmes / 21.09.2023

Nîmes, 21 September 2023 - On the occasion of the 13th National Wind Energy Colloquium, which will take place in Paris on 4 and 5 October 2023, VSB énergies Nouvelles, the French subsidiary of the VSB Group, announces that it has been awarded the contract to operate two wind farms of the French utility CNR with a total capacity of 49.6 MW.

From October 2023, VSB énergies nouvelles will be responsible for the operational management of two further wind farms with a total capacity of 28 MW in the department of Maine-et-Loire (49) on behalf of the energy provider CNR (Compagnie Nationale du Rhône). VSB already operates the wind farms Crennes-sur-Fraubée (10 MW) and Cambernon (9.2 MW) for CNR within the scope of asset management. Now the wind farms Valanjou (6 turbines of the type Enercon E82 / 2 MW) as well as Saint-Quentin-en-Mauges and Le Pin-en-Mauges (8 turbines of the type Enercon E82 / 2 MW) are added. VSB thus manages a total of 49.6 MW on behalf of CNR from its regional site in Rennes.

VSB énergies nouvelles currently manages 650 MW: 47 wind farms and 17 photovoltaic plants. The aim is to expand the portfolio to 800 MW by 2025, which corresponds to growth of around 25% in this business area. VSB France is thus following its strategic shift initiated three years ago towards becoming a fully-fledged energy supplier that develops projects, builds them, operates them itself as well as takes over the operational management for its customers.

"We are very proud to have won the tender with a partner like CNR," explains Maël Lagarde, Managing Director of VSB énergies nouvelles. "We currently manage no less than 650 MW on behalf of our clients, a key activity that complements the project developer activity and allows us to strengthen our expertise and know-how by being present on the ground."

VSB's asset management offering comprises 3 segments:
