Main components for wind turbines arrive, PV construction begins: Hybrid Park Löberitz continues to grow

 / 08.10.2026

The Hybrid Park Löberitz has reached the next major construction phase: the concrete towers for the three new wind turbines are in place, and the first main components are being delivered and installed. At the same time, the start of construction for the photovoltaic plant is also drawing closer.

Main components arrive as concrete towers stand completed
A lot has happened again on the construction site in Löberitz: the concrete towers for the three new wind turbines have now been erected. This marks an important step forward – and the next clearly visible construction phase is already under way. Step by step, the completed towers are now becoming full wind turbines.

Further main components are currently being delivered, including steel tower sections, nacelles and rotor blades. Delivery is taking place by heavy-load transport and is expected to be completed by the end of this week. The components are coming from Cuxhaven and Poland.

The route leads via the motorway to the A 9, Dessau-Ost junction, and then on towards Thurland. Several turning manoeuvres are required on the way to Löberitz. Near Salzfurtkapelle, the vehicles are routed via a bypass because of a narrow junction; another bottleneck is located in the Wadendorf area.
The transports take place in the evening and night-time hours. During this time, there may be brief restrictions or waiting times. We ask for your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience.
At the same time, pre-assembly work on the nacelles is taking place on the ground at the construction site. The main crane is also currently being prepared for the next installation steps.

Installation and lifting work begins
Installation of the main components will begin in the coming days. Steel tower sections, nacelles and rotor blades will be lifted and installed using large cranes, among other equipment. This work is expected to continue until calendar week 46.

Important safety notice: During lifting operations, we kindly ask you to keep well away from the construction site. Entering the site is not permitted and can be life-threatening. Please observe the barriers and notices on site – they are there for your safety.

Cable route almost complete
In parallel with the work on the wind turbines, the cable route from the wind farm to the Salzfurtkapelle substation is also well advanced. It is important for ensuring that the electricity generated in future can be safely fed into the grid.

The photovoltaic plant is also moving closer
Implementation is now also beginning for the photovoltaic part of the hybrid park. According to the current schedule, construction is expected to start from mid-October. The first steps will be setting up the construction site in the southern area, building access roads and installing fencing. Construction of the external cable route will also begin.

The preparatory construction measures are expected to continue until mid-November. The next steps on the site will then follow: module tables, modules and inverters are expected to be delivered and installed from late October to late January. According to the current schedule, the transformers will follow between mid-December and mid-March.

Keeping disruption for local residents as low as possible
Delivery traffic for the PV construction site is being planned in such a way that the surrounding villages are spared as far as possible. Heavy-load transports through the villages are not planned for the PV construction. At times, however, there may still be slightly increased construction traffic. Deliveries will take place during the day between 07:00 and 17:00.

On the site itself, construction work may be audible. In very dry weather, dust may also be generated. However, as the work is taking place in autumn, we currently expect dust levels to remain low. The access routes already known from the wind farm construction will continue to be used.

We will continue to keep you updated here in the construction diary.

Arrival in the early morning: the rotor blades have reached the Löberitz wind farm. One of the new concrete towers can already be seen in the background.

The rotor blades were delivered by heavy-load transport during the evening and night-time hours. For components of this length, the route has to be planned in detail.

Transporting the rotor blades requires a great deal of space and precise coordination – especially at bends, junctions and through villages.

Pre-assembly work is currently taking place on the large components before they are lifted in the coming weeks. The hub will later be located at a height of 172 metres.

The three new towers are already visible from afar. In Löberitz, five older turbines are being replaced by three modern wind turbines.
