Alongside its existing use, land may also have potential for wind or solar energy. If your site is suitable, leasing it for an energy project can provide an additional source of income. We assess the options together with you and support you through the subsequent project stages.
Planning land use together
Whether you are involved in agriculture, an agricultural cooperative, forestry or private land ownership, we involve landowners at an early stage of project planning. Lease and land-use arrangements are tailored to the individual project and local conditions. For agricultural land, we take existing farming activities into account during planning and coordinate relevant matters with landowners and land users. As part of each individual project, VSB takes responsibility for many of the tasks involved in project development, permitting and implementation.

From site assessment to operation
We first assess whether your land is generally suitable for a wind or solar project. This includes considering planning, technical, permitting and economic conditions. If the project proceeds, VSB supports the agreed steps from site development and permitting through to implementation and operation of the installation.
During the planning process, we develop a concept tailored to the location and the requirements of the project. In doing so, we draw on our many years of experience in developing wind and solar projects, as well as our work with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, banks and insurers.

Your lease agreement
- A contractually defined term, for example 25 years depending on the project model
- Options for extensions or repowering can be agreed contractually
- Provisions for decommissioning the installation at the end of its use are set out in the agreement
