Paavonkoski, Multia and Saarijärvi

Current information about Paavonkoski wind farm

The Paavonkoski wind farm is located in Multia and Saarijärvi, southeast of Väätiäiskylä. The area is designated for wind power generation in the Central Finland's regional land use plan. The preliminary project area covers approximately 3500 hectares, with around 2830 hectares located in Multia and 670 hectares in Saarijärvi.

The project area is planned to include a wind farm with 15–22 turbines, with a total capacity of approximately 120–176 MW.

We are also exploring opportunities for hybrid solutions that combine wind power, solar power, and energy storage systems.

The project will be ilmplemented through a joint procedure of the wind power master plan and the environmental impact assessment (EIA).
