VSB Group to sell Karahka and Juurakko wind farms in the Northern Ostrobothnia region to Finnish utility company Helen. The wind farms have a combined installed capacity of 190 MW, equivalent to the annual energy consumption of 174,000 households.
VSB Uusiutuva Energia Suomi Oy has received permission to build its 170 MW Karahka wind farm near the town of Oulainen (Northern Ostrobothnia region). The project is scheduled to go online at the end of 2024.
Renewable energy developer VSB Uusiutuva Energia Suomi Oy and large-scale solar power specialist Solarigo Systems Oy have reached an agreement to create Finland’s first industrial scale wind and solar hybrid energy park in Kalajoki. The design of the park also enables it to become Finland’s first hybrid energy park with electrical storage capability. Similar hybrid parks are rare, making this project internationally significant.
7 Nordex N163/5.X wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 5.7 MW, are expected to be in operation on the west coast of Finland by summer 2022. This will be the first project to be commissioned in Finland for VSB as developer and operator.
