Commencement of work on the Racibórz Wind Farm

From the start of construction at the beginning of March, through the extensive earthworks and pile driving in May, to the delivery from sunny Spain of the impressive 9.5-metre anchor baskets. An intensive and demanding phase, the results of which bring us closer to a greener world!

MARCH
Together with the arrival of spring in March, the first construction works started at the Racibórz Wind Farm. Initially, the focus was on the reconstruction and construction of new roads and yards.

MAY
The month of May was dominated by earthworks. We completed all the excavations for the turbine foundations and started the piling phase. Using a method that has been tried and tested for many years, we drove in prefabricated reinforced concrete piles with typical dimensions of 45x45 centimeters and lengths of 9 to 19 meters into the ground. Another milestone this month was start of construction of the medium-voltage line [MVL].

JUNE
June was a busy month! Work on the GPO station in Raciborz (Studzienna district) began, as did the pouring of lean concrete for the turbine foundations and the delivery of reinforcing steel. A special highlight of the month was the delivery of anchor cages from sunny Spain, manufactured by BARRANQUESA. Our 9.5 meters high cages - twice the height of conventional models - set new standards!
