To complement our team, we are looking for a:

Head of Resource & Site (m/w/d)

YOUR MAIN TASKS:

  • Functional and disciplinary lead of the Resource (Wind and Solar) & Site department with a direct reporting line to the Head of International Project Management (IPM). 
  • Implementation of corporate strategy and targets within the area of responsibility as defined by the Holding Management  
  • Definition of a Resource & Site strategy for the VSB Group as well as support of the country organizations  
  • Coordination of Wind/Solar & Site Manager within VSB Holding as well as (pool) resources nominated from the various country organizations with respect to the operational project work 
  • Coordination and alignment with the other project related Centers of Excellence and International Project Management regarding continuous improvement of processes and tools as well as operational support of projects in nascent and emerging markets, in order to ensure homogeneous high quality standards 
  • Definition, alignment, continuous improvement and training of processes, tools and templates within the area of responsibility 
  • Potentially taking over of operational project tasks in specific projects 
  • Regular review of international projects regarding process methodology, project progress and risks (in alignment with the colleagues from IPM and Portfolio Management) 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Academical degree in the field of natural science, engineering or similar studies or professional education with relevant additional qualification 
  • A minimum of five years work experience and experience in micrositing/wind measurement related with international and leadership experience 
  • Solid knowledge of WindPRO and WAsP software and other flow models 
  • Secure knowledge in the field of meteorological measurements as well as technical expertise 
  • Experience in planning solar energy and knowledge of planning and simulation software (AutoCAD 2D and 3D, PVSol, PVsyst) preferred 
  • Extensive communication and organization skills paired with a sound economical mindset and a high level of intercultural awareness 
  • Strong ability to solve conflicts in a good balance of assertiveness and diplomacy 
  • Business fluency in English and at least one further language (German or French) 
  • Willingness for business travelling, primarily within Europe
